Delivery & collect in-store policy

Terms and conditions of delivery provided by Cash & Carry Ltd (“The Company”)


Dear valued customers,

Following the announcement of the Lock Down period due to Covid-19 as from Friday 20th March 2020, all our stores will be closed and Collect In-Store service will only be available when lockdown period will end.

In the meantime, our Home Delivery Service will still be operational and deliveries will be effected until 16H00 only.

Logistic team will deliver product(s) at your door step – Ground Floor ONLY, under the supervision of the customer.

Our logistic team will follow all the required safety measures during the delivery.

The customer is also advised to take all the required safety measures.

Delivery will be done within 5 working days – from date of payment confirmation/invoicing.

The Management


1. General Home Delivery terms

1.1  Free Deliveries
Cash & Carry Ltd delivers “Free of Charge” goods with a purchase value exceeding Rs.2,000 on the ground floor and on other higher floors, provided a suitable lift in good working condition is available.

1.2  Other Deliveries
All purchases for a value below Rs.2,000 may also be delivered. 
However, a delivery fee of Rs.350 will be chargeable.
 

1.3  Complex Deliveries
Complex deliveries (1st floor or above, restricted access, multiple floor delivery and so forth), a survey may have to be carried out. 
Should additional manpower be required to carry out the delivery, the customer will be charged for additional delivery/labour charge.
If you are unsure that the item you have ordered will fit through the door and the delivery team could struggle to effect delivery to your address, kindly send us an email on info@cashandcarry.mu prior the delivery so that we may discuss your concern with the dimensions to hand.
You may also check the item’s measurements against those of your door. 

    
1.4  Delivery Access
The customer must ensure adequate access at point of delivery. If it is not possible to deliver the goods due to lack of access space, the customer will be charged for any subsequent delivery or should additional manpower be required.
 

1.5 Obstruction & Circumstances
The customer should ensure that all passageways are cleared of obstacles so as to avoid damages to the goods being delivered or falls and bruises to the delivery personnel. Cash & Carry cannot be held accountable for damages, either to the product(s) purchased or to the walls and/or floors of the customer’s home/premise due to an insufficient margin of maneuverability in doorways, hallways and staircases.
 

2. Customer responsibilities

The customer must ensure adequate access at point of delivery. If it is not possible to deliver the goods due to lack of access space, the customer will be charged for any subsequent delivery or should additional manpower be required.

3. Inspection & Acceptance of delivered items by Customer

The customer should inspect the delivered product(s) carefully. Any damage found should be immediately reported to the delivery personnel and noted in writing on the delivery slip.
Cash & Carry will not accept responsibility for damages found after the delivery personnel have left the delivery site.
Once the customer or his/her representative has inspected the goods and has signed his/her acceptance on the delivery copy noting any damage if any, it is agreed that the delivery copy then constitutes evidence of the condition of the delivered items.

4.  Client (or representative) not on site to accept delivery

In such cases, Cash & Carry Ltd will have no alternative but to return the goods to the warehouse and reschedule the delivery, which will be chargeable to the customer.
 

5. Person accepting delivery and sales invoice copy retained

If the customer is unable to personally accept delivery of the goods he/she has to ensure that there is a responsible adult at the property to receive the goods as they will have to be signed for. The sales invoice should be left with the person receiving the delivery together with the receiver’s ID card for control purposes. No delivery will be done to children.
 

6.  Deliveries to statutory or corporate bodies

In the case of deliveries to statutory or corporate bodies, or of deliveries on construction sites, the person making the arrangements at time of purchase for the delivery of the goods MUST provide the name and telephone number of the person who will be accepting the delivery on behalf of the purchaser so that a proper appointment may be arranged by our personnel for same.
 

7. Disposal of items

The company does not dispose of goods for customers. Customers should make their own arrangement for disposal of old sets prior to the delivery being made. If old sets are not cleared, and there is no space to place the set being delivered, the delivery will be rescheduled and this will be chargeable.
 

8.  Pending Deliveries

Deliveries to be effected at later dates (pending deliveries): In such cases, the customer should understand that Cash & Carry Ltd will only store the goods for a period not exceeding 30 days. It is the customer’s responsibility to inform Cash & Carry Ltd when to deliver. Storage charges will apply when items are left in the custody of Cash & Carry Ltd for prolonged periods of time.
 

9. Delivery Times

Cash & Carry Ltd may not offer a precise timed delivery service. 

However, Cash & Carry Ltd endeavors to ensure its best to accommodate with the customer’s request.
However, Cash & Carry will not be liable for any loss, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay in delivering goods.
 

10.  Collect in-store

Collection time will vary according to the opening hours of that Cash & Carry branch.
Cash & Carry Ltd will confirm by email or phone as soon as your product(s) is/are ready for collection at the requested collection point.
You will have to show your National Identity Card (NIC) as proof of identity as well as quoting your Order Number before delivery or collection of goods.
Your NIC number will be noted by our agent at the chosen pick-up point.
